The INAECU Institute has organised the Conference “Women and Science: 15 years of European policies to promote the participation of women in science. Before and after the ETAN report”.

The opening speech will be given by Carmen Vela, Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation, and the only Spanish representative in the Helsinki Group, responsible for the drafting of the ETAN Report which aimed to promote excellence through the integration of gender equality.

The conference will be structured around four round tables devoted respectively to equal opportunities in postgraduate training, promotion processes and access to competitive financial resources, gender equality in research, the influence of gender on health and health care and the presence of women in technology and entrepreneurship.

Date and place: 24 October at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (room 17.2.75, Getafe campus)
